Abstract

Conventional flight planning often relies on static performance calculations from manufacturer manuals without accounting for real-time local tropical atmospheric dynamics. This study analyzes daily fuel consumption deviations and approach stability within the Cessna 172S NAV III fleet at Blimbingsari Airport (WADY) using FDMA data. An ex-post facto quantitative approach was employed, extracting macro data from logs FDMA 2025.csv (3,164 flight releases) and micro parameters from approaches.csv (7,796 samples). Hypotheses were tested using One-Sample T-Test and Multiple Linear Regression via SPSS. Results revealed significant deviation (p < 0.001), with actual fuel consumption reaching 10.2 USG/hr during circular circuit flights, approaching the POH maximum limit (10.4 USG/hr). An overspeed approach of 9–13 knots above POH reference speed (61 KIAS) was detected, causing flare distance up to 1,300 feet and triggering maximum ground braking of 0.12 G. This research formulated a Safe Operating Envelope Matrix introducing a 5% Landing Weight Penalty at ambient temperature >32°C and a 1.6× safety factor for Landing Distance Required.
