Abstract

This research is driven by the phenomenon of job uncertainty and issues regarding compensation transparency among contract workers in the manufacturing sector, which potentially decrease productivity. The objective of this study is to analyze the partial and simultaneous influence of work contract systems and compensation on employee performance. The research methodology employs a quantitative approach with descriptive and verificative methods, involving a total population of 100 contract employees at PT. TA as respondents selected through a census (saturation sampling) technique. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and the analysis method used is path analysis. The results indicate that both work contract systems and compensation variables have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, with compensation being the most dominant factor. Simultaneously, these two factors contribute 61.3% to the variation in employee performance. In conclusion, this study confirms that clear employment agreements supported by fair and timely compensation systems serve as the most effective strategic instruments to optimize contract worker productivity. Professional contract management and appropriate financial rights are crucial for the company to achieve sustainable organizational goals.
