Mengurai Penyebab Gagalnya Bisnis Sawit dan Solusi Berkelanjutan

The palm oil industry is a strategic sector in Indonesia’s economy; however, it faces various challenges that lead to business failures. This study aims to analyze the causes of palm oil business failure and to formulate sustainable solutions using a theo-anthropo-ecocentric approach. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study and conceptual analysis approach, supported by a literature review from relevant scientific sources. Data were analyzed descriptively by integrating ecological, social, economic, as well as ethical and spiritual dimensions. The results indicate that business failure in the palm oil sector is not solely caused by technical and economic factors, but also by environmental degradation, social conflicts, economic inequality, and weak ethical values in corporate governance. The case study of PT Agro Sejahtera Lestari (ASL) reveals an imbalance in the relationship between humans, nature, and divine values. The theo-anthropo-ecocentric approach offers solutions through the integration of spiritual values, social justice, and environmental sustainability. Therefore, sustainable palm oil business requires holistic, ethical, and long-term oriented governance.
