Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation, investment, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on the unemployment rate in Indonesia during the 2020–2025 period. This research employs a quantitative approach using time series secondary data obtained from Statistics Indonesia, Bank Indonesia, and the Ministry of Investment. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) approach, supported by classical assumption tests. The results indicate that inflation, investment, and GDP partially have a negative and significant effect on the unemployment rate. Simultaneously, these variables also have a significant effect, with a coefficient of determination of 0.72, indicating that 72% of the variation in unemployment can be explained by the model. These findings suggest that inflation stability, increased investment, and economic growth play a crucial role in reducing unemployment in Indonesia. This study implies that integrated and sustainable economic policies are essential to enhance labor absorption.
