Edukasi dan Implementasi Manajemen Nyeri dengan Hipnosis Lima Jari pada Pasien Sectio Caesarea Post Operasi di RSUD dr.R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga

Pain is a common issue experienced by patients following a Caesarean section, potentially compromising their comfort and ability to engage in daily activities. Five-finger hypnosis is a non-pharmacological method that can serve as a complementary therapy to help reduce pain perception. This community service initiative aimed to enhance patients' skills in performing five-finger hypnosis and to help reduce pain intensity in post-Caesarean section patients. The activity was conducted in the Bougainvillea inpatient ward of Dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Purbalingga from May 16 to June 5, 2026, involving 30 post-Caesarean section patients. The program included education via leaflets, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and pain intensity assessment using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Results indicated that prior to the intervention, 21 participants (70%) experienced moderate pain and 9 participants (30%) experienced mild pain. Following the intervention, 22 participants (73.3%) reported mild pain, while 8 participants (26.7%) reported moderate pain. Skill evaluations showed that 20 participants (66.7%) fell into the "good" category, and 10 participants (33.3%) fell into the "fair" category. This activity demonstrates that educating patients on and implementing five-finger hypnosis can improve patient skills and support non-pharmacological pain management for those recovering from a Caesarean section.
