Pemberdayaan Masyarakat melalui Program Pembangunan Garden House di Kantor Desa Sumber Rejeki dalam Mewujudkan Lingkungan Desa yang Asri dan Berkelanjutan

Abstract

This community service activity discusses how the community is empowered through the Garden House improvement program at the Sumber Rejeki Village Office, Watubangga District, as an effort to create a beautiful and sustainable village environment. This program is a continuation of the Garden House previously established by KKN students in 2025. In the 2026 KKN program, the activities focused on reorganizing, improving, and further developing the existing Garden House to maximize its function as a green space within the village office environment. The activities were carried out in several stages, beginning with identifying the existing condition of the Garden House, preparing an improvement plan, organizing and maintaining the area, planting various types of plants, and processing organic waste into compost. KKN students worked together with the local community using a participatory approach throughout the process of improving and maintaining the environment. The results showed that the reorganization of the Garden House made the green space at the Sumber Rejeki Village Office more organized and improved its utilization. Furthermore, the activity provided the community with experience and knowledge regarding the importance of maintaining cleanliness, caring for plants, and managing the environment sustainably. These findings indicate that the Garden House cannot simply be built once, but requires continuous improvement, maintenance, and environmental awareness to ensure its sustainability. Therefore, the Garden House improvement program can serve as a form of community empowerment in supporting the realization of a beautiful and sustainable village environment.
