Tinjauan Pustaka tentang Pembelajaran STEAM di Era Pendidikan Modern

The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) approach has emerged as an innovation in modern education to develop 21st-century skills such as creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Integrating art into STEM aims to enhance student motivation and engagement in the learning process. This study seeks to analyze the implementation of STEAM in elementary schools, identify challenges encountered, and propose necessary innovations to create relevant and effective learning experiences. Using a literature review method on 10 recent academic articles, it was found that STEAM implementation faces various obstacles, including insufficient teacher training, inadequate facilities, and a curriculum that lacks interdisciplinary integration. Nonetheless, the STEAM approach has proven to improve students' creativity, technological proficiency, and collaboration skills. To ensure successful implementation, intensive teacher training programs, enhanced educational facilities, and revised curricula that support interdisciplinary approaches are essential. With these strategic measures, STEAM holds great potential to foster innovative and globally competent future generations.
