Implementasi Konseling Ekologi dalam Mendukung Pendidikan Berbasis Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs)

This study aims to analyze the implementation of ecological counseling in supporting education based on sustainable development (SDGs) in school settings and to identify the factors that support and hinder its implementation. The method used is qualitative research in the form of a literature review through the analysis of various sources relevant to ecological counseling and sustainable education. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of ecological counseling can be achieved through the strengthening of guidance and counseling services, which include environment-based information services, group guidance, group counseling, and individual counseling focused on fostering an environmentally conscious character. Integrating ecological counseling with school programs such as Adiwiyata, the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), and nature-based learning can also strengthen students’ ecological awareness. Additionally, supporting factors for implementation include the strategic role of guidance and counseling services, systematic program management, and collaboration among teachers, schools, and parents. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limitations in guidance and counseling services, a lack of understanding regarding the role of counselors, and the complexity of ever-evolving educational needs. Thus, ecological counseling has the potential to be an effective strategy in strengthening education based on sustainable development through the fostering of environmental awareness and sustainable behavior among students.
