Analisis dan Pendekatan Sistem dalam Pengembangan Kurikulum

The quality of education is crucial for a nation’s development, which creates the need to design a curriculum that is adaptable and responsive to ongoing changes. The curriculum development process largely depends on the development model employed, as such models provide conceptual and methodological frameworks for designing, implementing, and evaluating curricula in dynamic environments. Various curriculum development models have been proposed by education experts, each with its own characteristics, advantages, and challenges. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of these models is essential for educators, curriculum developers, and education policymakers in order to design effective and relevant curricula. This study aims to contribute positively toward more relevant and inclusive education by adhering to curriculum development methods that enhance the quality of learning. The method used in this research is a library research approach, involving the review of various relevant sources, including books and scholarly journals. The findings indicate that, in order to respond dynamically to change, educational programs must be flexible and future-oriented. The Merdeka Curriculum is introduced with the spirit of granting autonomy to educational institutions and teachers in managing the learning process. The core concept of this curriculum is to provide space for differentiated learning, recognizing that each student has different needs and levels of efficiency. Therefore, appropriate curriculum development can produce comprehensive outcomes and serve as an innovative solution for improving the quality of education.
