Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of business development strategies on consumer loyalty and profitability at Bu Nurhida Grocery Store, Surakarta. The research method used is qualitative, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that strategies such as product innovation, service improvement, and operational efficiency significantly enhance customer loyalty. This loyalty is reflected in increased repeat purchases, customer recommendations, and stronger emotional connections with the store. As a result, the increase in loyalty contributes to the stability of income and improved profitability. These three variables reinforce each other, demonstrating that effective development strategies can drive the profitability of small businesses. This study recommends that the store continue to strengthen service innovations and financial management to maintain and improve customer loyalty. Additionally, the study suggests further development by adding customer satisfaction variables or utilizing digital innovations as an effort to broaden the perspective on improving profitability. Thus, integrated strategies can positively impact the sustainability of small businesses.
