The method used is qualitative with fishbone analysis technique, this analysis leads to an in-depth understanding of the factors that are interrelated and trigger accidents. The results of the analysis showed that the main causal factor was the captain's decision, the limitations of the navigation system and the lack of coordination were the main factors that contributed to this incident. The impact of the quay damage was material loss and disruption of port operations. The XYZ Port dock accident is an important reminder for all relevant parties to increase focus on the safety aspects of shipping. The large number of accidents or incidents that frequently occur can cause a lot of loss and damage and even loss for the owner of the ship and third parties as owners of the goods. As in the case that occurred at PT. AHAP and PT. PM . PT insurance dispute. AHAP and PT.PM occurred because the ship from PT. Which PM is KM. Bayu Prima experienced a fire. This writing aims to describe the process of resolving disputes over Indonesian ship insurance agreements using English law in the Indonesian Courts and to find out the obstacles faced by Indonesian Courts in resolving insurance disputes whose insurance agreements use English law. The method used is the Normative Juridical research type. This type of Normative Juridical research aims to examine statutory regulations related to theoretical concepts. Settlement of disputes over Indonesian Ship Insurance Agreements Using English Law in Indonesian Courts is very difficult to use because insurance policies use English law, so Indonesian courts do not have the right to decide on sanctions based on the insurance policy in force. The obstacle faced by Indonesian courts in resolving insurance disputes where the insurance agreement uses English law is the use of insurance policy agreements that use English law. With the insurance policy agreement using English law, the Indonesian Court does not have full authority to decide disputes, thereby causing harm to PT. Therefore, maintenance and painting must be carried out to avoid work accidents on ships because it is possible that rusting can cause the ship's hull plates to become brittle. To minimize the occurrence of these things, it is necessary to carry out routine maintenance. One method used to maintain/improve the condition of the ship, especially the parts of the ship's hull that are affected by corrosion, is to use the sandblasting method to create a profile on the metal surface of the ship's hull or other parts. The aim of this research is to analyze the welfare of fishermen in Gempol Sewu Village, Kec. Rowosari, Kendal Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, with this qualitative method you can find out directly what things influence the income and welfare of fishermen by conducting interviews with fishermen in the Gempol Sewu area. The information in this research is fishermen in Gempol Sewu Village who are represented by several fishermen in the area. Based on interviews and literature studies conducted, it can be concluded that the lack of welfare of fishermen is caused by several main factors. First of all, the cost of boat maintenance and safety while sailing are crucial factors that put financial pressure on fishermen. Efforts to ensure vessels remain in good condition and maintain safety while sailing require significant investment, which may be difficult for most fishermen to afford. Concrete steps such as providing skills training programs, easy access to capital at low interest rates, and the formation of fishermen's cooperatives can be a solution to improve the welfare of fishermen and open up opportunities for them to develop businesses other than being fishermen. In this way, it is hoped that fishermen can have a more economically sustainable alternative and improve their overall standard of living
2024-09-30T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal SAINTEK : Sains dan Teknologi Maritim https://journal.unimar-amni.ac.id/index.php/jstmv2/article/view/2528 TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF CONSTRUCTION DESIGN OF A 2 FUNCTION PONTOON (SAND SUCTION AND EXCAVATOR) IN AMBON WATERS 2024-09-03T01:20:38+08:00 Dinda Sujiono sujionodinda@gmail.com Minto Basuki minto@gmail.com
Pier construction is a supporting infrastructure facility and infrastructure for regional development that can support the smooth frequency of trade. This construction requires tools such as heavy excavators and sand suction machines. These two heavy equipment have a rhythmic function, namely dredging sand around the dock area, therefore the heavy equipment must have buoyancy so that it can function optimally. One floating device that can support both heavy equipment is a pontoon boat. This pontoon ship will be designed according to the owner's requirements by finding the main dimensions of the ship using the trial and error method with the results of an overall length (LOA) of 10.1 meters, width (B) 6.6 meters, height (H) 2.0 meters, draft water (T) 1.0 meters. This pontoon boat is planned to be divided into 9 separate segments consisting of 6 square segments and 3 rectangular segments. These segments will be joined using nuts and bolts to become one unit. Where to operate excavator heavy equipment requires 9 segments, while operating a sand suction machine only requires 4 square segments. So these two functions cannot be used at the same time. Planning this pontoon model uses Maxsurf Modeller which can produce characteristic data and produce displacements that can accommodate the weight of construction and the PC200 Excavator. Construction calculations were carried out to obtain the pontoon weight value with a total weight of 21,293 tons as supporting data, namely stability calculations using Maxsurf Stability. Stability analysis uses International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations with criteria A.749 (18) with the results that the criteria are met according to regulations. From the results of calculating the material requirements for this pontoon boat, it can be estimated that production costs will reach Rp. 468,973,600
2024-09-30T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal SAINTEK : Sains dan Teknologi Maritim https://journal.unimar-amni.ac.id/index.php/jstmv2/article/view/2534 DEVELOPING MARITIME ENGLISH PREPARATION TEST BY USING FLASH APPLICATION 2024-09-05T01:51:27+08:00 APRIL LINA aprillina.amni@gmail.com Dhanan Abimanto dhananabimanto@gmail.com Ariana Oktavia ariana.oktaviaa@gmail.com
This study aimed at developing of teaching maritime English as English for Specific Purpose especially in conducting Maritime English Preparation Test.
