Penyederhanaan Tafsir Al-Qur’an dalam Literatur Anak-Anak: Tantangan dan Efektivitas dalam Pembentukan Pemahaman Keagamaan

Abstract

This article examines the simplification of Qur'ānic exegesis in children's literature and the challenges faced in the process. The main focus of this research is how complex theological concepts from the Qur'ān are simplified in the form of stories, illustrations, and language that are easily understood by children. This simplification is done to make it easier for children to understand the values of the Qur'ān without losing the essence of its profound teachings. This article analyzes the effectiveness of Qur'anic story-based children's literature media in shaping children's religious and moral understanding, by identifying patterns in the content used to convey religious messages. It also examines the challenges that arise in the process of simplification, including the risk of losing meaning and the limitations of conveying abstract concepts such as tawhid and social justice. The results show that, while this literature succeeds in attracting children's interest, it falls short in terms of the depth of religious understanding they can gain. The conclusion of this study provides recommendations for the further development of Qur'ānic tafsir-based children's literature with closer collaboration between tafsir experts and children's literature writers.
