Campur Kode dan Alih Kode dalam Komunikasi Pemandu Wisata di Makam Rato Ebhu Sampang

Abstract

Communication between tour guides and tourists from different linguistic backgrounds often leads to the use of code-mixing and code-switching. This study aims to describe the forms of code-mixing and code-switching, as well as the factors influencing their use in the communication of tour guides at the Rato Ebhu Tomb in Sampang. A descriptive method with a qualitative approach was employed. Data were gathered through observation, listening, recording, and note-taking regarding the tour guides' speech. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the forms of code-mixing identified include words, phrases, and clauses, while the form of code-switching identified is internal code-switching. Factors influencing code-mixing include the speaker's attitudinal and linguistic backgrounds, whereas code-switching is influenced by the speaker and the interlocutor. The sthe tudy demonstrates that the use of code-mixing and code-switching plays a role in facilitating effective communication between tour guides and tourists.
