Bimbingan Konseling Islam sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Bullying di Sekolah Menengah Atas

Abstract

Bullying is a common problem in schools and has negative impacts on students’ psychological, social, and academic development. The phenomenon of bullying in high schools requires comprehensive management through both preventive and curative approaches. One of the approaches that can be applied is Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BKI) services. This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Guidance and Counseling in preventing bullying in high schools. The method used is library research by reviewing various relevant literature. The results indicate that Islamic Guidance and Counseling plays an important role in preventing bullying through the internalization of Islamic values, the development of noble morals, the strengthening of empathy, and the formation of student character. Counseling services such as individual counseling, group counseling, peer guidance, and information services based on Islamic principles are effective strategies in reducing bullying behavior in schools. Therefore, Islamic Guidance and Counseling can serve as an effective alternative approach to creating a safe, comfortable, and conducive school environment for students and educators alike.
