Abstract

This study aims to examine the ways teachers help build a secure and pleasant learning atmosphere for pupils at SD Negeri 13 Palangka. A learning setting that feels safe and comfortable is essential for successful instruction, character formation, and heightened motivation among elementary students. Teachers are central to cultivating a positive classroom climate by using constructive discipline, clear communication, suitable motivation, and effective classroom management. This investigation adopts a qualitative, descriptive approach, gathering data were collected by conducting observations and interviews involving teachers and students at the school. Analysis follows the processes of data reduction, data display and interpretation. Results show that teachers at SD Negeri 13 Palangka work to creat a secure and supportive learning atmossphere by delivering engaging lessons, paying close attention to students need, and enforcing classroom rules impartially and fostering harmonious teacher‑student relationships. They also offer emotional support to boost students’ confidence and comfort during lessons. Such an environment positively influences student participation, discipline, and academic achievement. Consequently, the study concludes that teachers have an essential role in establishing a safe and comfortable educational atmospheree for elementary learners, particularly at SD Negeri 13 Palangka, thereby supporting an effective and enjoyable educational process.
