Upaya Guru dalam Mengembangkan Soft Skill Berpikir Kritis Siswa Melalui Pembelajaran Matematika di Kelas VB SD Negeri 2 Palangka

This research aims to describe the efforts of teachers in developing critical thinking Soft Skills for students in class V B at SD Negeri 2 Palangka with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subject consists of a class V B teacher and 23 students. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman models through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that teachers apply various learning strategies, such as Problem Based Learning (PBL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), trigger questions, group discussions, and contextual problems to improve students' critical thinking skills. Teachers also create an active and open learning atmosphere so that students are more daring to ask questions, discuss, and express their opinions. The strategy has a positive impact on students' ability to analyze and solve problems. However, there are still obstacles in the form of low motivation of some students and the lack of accustomed students to giving logical reasons and reflecting on the answers delivered so that more innovative and student-centered learning is needed.
