Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) Berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati di SMA Negeri 1 Kawangkoan Bara

This research aimed to develop a Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the topic of biodiversity for tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Kawangkoan Barat. The study was motivated by the conventional character of biology instruction and the use of worksheets that were unable to stimulate critical thinking or active engagement among learners. A research and development approach was applied using the 3D model (Define, Design, Develop), a simplification of the 4D model proposed by Thiagarajan and Semmel. Data were gathered through expert validation, response questionnaires completed by teachers and students, and a learning-outcome test. The findings indicated that the developed worksheet achieved a validity score of 90 (highly valid), a teacher practicality score of 94% and a student response score of 92.6% (highly practical), as well as an average learning outcome of 84.9 with classical mastery of 80% (effective). These results confirm that the LKPD is suitable for use as an alternative teaching tool capable of enhancing the quality of biology instruction on the biodiversity topic and supporting the goals of the Merdeka curriculum.
