Analisis Struktur dan Aspek Kepribadian Pelaku dalam Cerpen Ayun Ambing Karya Tuti Héryati

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the narrative content, structural elements, and character personality aspects based on Freud's theory in the short story collection Ayun Ambing by Tuti Héryati. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, using the short story collection Ayun Ambing as the primary data source. The data collection technique utilized is a literature study involving coded data cards. The analysis was conducted through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) The narrative content of the 15 stories in the Ayun Ambing collection depicts social conditions, occupations, poverty, and romance; 2) The narrative structure encompasses themes of family, work, social issues, and love, consisting of 7 linear plots and 8 mixed plots. The settings are situated in villages or workplaces. The point of view alternates between first-person and third-person, utilizing symbolism and irony, with a total of 46 characters identified; 3) The personality aspects of the characters according to Freud's theory consist of 45 instances of the id, 47 of the ego, and 32 of the superego.
