Abstract

Digital transformation in the manufacturing industry requires the enhancement of human resource (HR) competencies, particularly among production employees who directly interact with digital technologies. Digital technology training has become a strategic approach to strengthening HR readiness and competence. This study aims to analyze the role of digital technology training in improving the competencies of production human resources at PT Tae Bong Indonesia. The research adopts a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving production employees and management personnel responsible for implementing digital training programs. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation to ensure data credibility. The findings indicate that digital technology training designed in accordance with job requirements, implemented through practice-based methods and mentoring, supported by flexible training duration, and evaluated continuously based on performance indicators plays a significant role in enhancing HR competencies. Competency improvement is reflected in stronger knowledge of digital work systems and procedures, improved technical skills in machine operation and troubleshooting, and the development of adaptive and disciplined work attitudes. This study confirms that digital technology training functions as a continuous learning process integrated with production systems in the manufacturing industry.
