Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the quality of the Parliamentary Service on the trust of the leadership and members of the Lima Puluh Kota Regency Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD). This study employs a quantitative approach using a descriptive-associative method. The study population consists of 35 members of the Lima Puluh Kota Regency DPRD leadership and members for the 2024–2029 term, all of whom were selected as respondents using total sampling. Primary data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression with SPSS. The results of the simple linear regression analysis indicate that the quality of parliamentary services has a positive effect on trust, with a regression coefficient of 0.328. The t-test results show a significance value of 0.013 < 0.05, thus supporting the research hypothesis. The coefficient of determination (R-squared) of 0.172 indicates that Parliamentary Service explains 17.2% of the variation in Trust, while the remaining 82.8% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. Thus, improving the quality of Parliamentary Service through productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility, and accountability is one of the factors that can strengthen the trust of DPRD members in the Lima Puluh Kota Regency DPRD Secretariat.
