Kontribusi Misiologi terhadap Pertumbuhan Iman Generasi Muda Kristen

Abstract

Christian youth face various challenges in maintaining and strengthening their faith amid rapid technological development, globalization, and increasingly complex social changes. The influences of secularism, individualism, materialism, and digital culture may reduce spiritual commitment and weaken awareness of the Christian calling. These conditions highlight the importance of an approach capable of fostering sustainable faith development. This study aims to analyze the contribution of missiology to the faith development of Christian youth. The research employed a library research method using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected from theology books, scholarly journals, research articles, and other relevant academic sources, then analyzed through content analysis involving the processes of categorization, interpretation, and synthesis of concepts related to the research focus. The findings reveal that missiology makes a significant contribution to shaping the identity, life purpose, and responsibilities of Christian youth as participants in God's mission. Furthermore, missiology supports faith development by fostering Christian character, strengthening one's relationship with God, increasing awareness of ministry, developing social concern, and encouraging active participation in evangelism. Therefore, the proper understanding and application of missiology enable Christian youth to live out their faith in a more mature, active, and responsible manner while participating in the fulfillment of God's mission within society.
